AIRPORT / KANDY

Early Morning visit Horton Plains with pack breakfast. Back to hotel and refresh. Afternoon we board our train at Nanu Oya which is considered one of the best train journeys in the world for its charm and landscape beauty. En-route we will see waterfalls, suspension bridges and tea pluckers on our journey as we wind our way slowly downwhill.

Meet our chauffeur guide at Ella station (15:30) and leave for Ella. Overnight stay at hotel.

ELLA (STAY)

Early morning leave for Haputale. Near the Dambatenne Tea factory, the Lipton’s Seat lookout rivals the views from World’s End. En-route visit Dambatenne Tea factory and learn all about tea, the most magnificent drink. Learn how it is grown, plucked and refined plus the fine art of tea making.

Evening cooking demonstration at hotel. Chef will teach you how to prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes.

ELLA / YALA

Morning, we trek to little Adam’s Peak which gives a panoramic view down to the southern plains of Sri Lanka. After, we leave for Udawalawe en-route we stop at the mesmerizing Ella Gap to observe the panoramic view of the surrounding area and Ravana falls and proceed to Udawalawe. If time permits we will visit Eth Athuru Sevana Elephant Transit Home to see baby elephants during their feeding times.

YALA / MIRISSA

An exciting day dawns, morning 06:00 – 09:00 a.m. we are on safari at Yala National Park. We will try our luck to spot the elusive leopard.

Afternoon leave to Mirissa passing beautiful coastline scenery, the sea lapping the sand and swaying palms. En-route visit to the Hummanaya Blow-hole. Second largest blowhole in the world. Evening relax on beach.

Galle is an exquisite city filled with colonial Dutch and Portuguese history and architecture and once a major port. Late afternoon we visit Galle a 17th century Dutch fortified city with a natural harbour exuding old-world charm especially inside the Old Dutch fort – a UNESCO heritage site.

Galle, famous for its lace, is filled with priceless crafts and antique treasures like jewellery, ceramics, and Dutch period furniture and brass work. Check in at hotel. Colombo city tour and shopping. In the evening maybe a visit to Galle Face Green and walk around the street food markets. Overnight stay at hotel.
