Morning climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (5th c.A.D). An impressive rock fortress, a royal citadel of a King for 18 years. Apart from the great rock, the surroundings, just gets you… so green, so serene, and peaceful. Exciting climb to the summit to the site of the palace which commands a magnificent view of the royal water gardens, on par with the best of the ancient world.
After breakfast short boat ride to Pigeon Island, great for diving, snorkelling and swimming. In the afternoon a short tour of Trinco’s famous sights such as the Fort Frederick with British fortifications over 150 years old.
After breakfast leave for East Coast beach stay. Passikudah beach white sand, shallow waters, coral reefs and palm trees make Passikudah and Kalkudah beaches idyllic places to spend the day on the seaside.
Passikudah Bay's shallow waters offers a perfectly safe environment for learning how to swim and therefore a popular bathing spot for families with children.
Day of leisure on the beach.
After breakfast leave for Kandy. Visit the Kandy markets, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and a gem museum. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic & witness a cultural dance show. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast leave to Negombo en-route Colombo city tour then proceed to Negombo.
Evening city tour in Negombo. Visit historical churches and old markets. Evening relax at beach.
