    AIRPORT / HABARANA

    Then you will be transferred to Habarana. En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Visit Dambulla cave temple later check-in at hotel for overnight stay.

    HABARANA (STAY)

    After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya to climb the Rock Fortress and go on a village tour and experience a typical Sri Lankan village lifestyle followed by a bullock cart ride into the village and catamaran ride on the lake.

    Sigiriya(5th c.A.D)an impressive rock fortress, a royal citadel of a King for 18 years. Apart from the great rock, the surroundings, just gets you…. so green, so serene, and peaceful. Exciting climb to the summit to the site of the palace which commands a magnificent view of the royal water gardens on par with the best of the ancient world.

    HABARANA / TRINCOMALEE

    After breakfast we leave for the east coast town of Trincomalee. En-route visit Polonnaruwa. We arrive at our beach resort with its crystal clear blue waters and white sands. Relax on the beach. Overnight stay.

    Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's medieval capital (11th - 12th Century AD) is a well-preserved city of ancient dagobas, moonstones, beautiful parks, massive buildings and stunningly beautiful statues. Polonnaruwa is situated in north-central Sri Lanka (Ceylon), near the Mahaweli River. It is an ancient Ceylonese capital that was long deserted but has been revived in modern times. The city, beautifully situated on a lake, was once the most splendid city of Sri Lanka. The Sea of Parakrama - a vast 12th century man-made reservoir dominates the city. Although it is nearly 1000 years old, it is much younger than Anuradhapura, and in much better repair. Moreover, the monuments here are located in a more compact area.

    TRINCOMALEE (STAY)

    Early morning (05 am) pick up from hotel and leave to location for Whale watching tour 3-4 Hours.

    Late afternoon short tour of Trincomalee location of one of the finest harbours in the world, see famous sights such as Fort Fredrick (Portuguese Dutch then British), Koneswaram Hindu Temple on the cliff known as Swami Rock, from where a Dutch maiden is believed to have jumped to her death seeing her fickle lover sailing away!

    TRINCOMALEE / KANDY

    (Approx. 180 km)

    After breakfast depart to Kandy. En-route you can visit the Herbal and Spice Garden in Matale. Proceed to Kandy.

    Kandy, The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings which is a world heritage city. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the Last Sinhalese King Sri WickramaRajasinghe in 1806, visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts museum and lapidary. The evening is the best time to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Thereafter, witness a traditional cultural show.

    Later return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

    KANDY (STAY)

    After breakfast we visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and the famous Kandy markets. After, we visit a batik factory and learn about the art of making batik. Visit a silk factory, art and craft workshop to see craftsmen in action making traditional wood carvings, lacquer ware, brassware and other craft items. Afterwards a visit to a gem museum. Overnight stay in hotel.

    Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Located 5.5 km to the west from Kandy, with an altitude of 460 meters above sea level. The garden covers 147 acres. The history goes back to 1371 and was formally established in 1843 by British after they took over the control in Kandy. More than 4000 species of plants found here including many varieties of orchids, medicinal plants, palm trees and many rare species of trees.

    KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA

    After breakfast you will transfer to a leisurely drive up to the cooler climate of Nuwara Eliya (1868 metres), en-route visit Ramboda waterfalls and other sightseeing stops, marvel at the spectacular views and scenery.

    Nuwara Eliya, is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The meaning of Nuwara Eliya is "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. The city was established by the British in the nineteenth century; and known as "Little England" and is a popular holiday resort for Sri Lanka Tourists due to its cool climate and quaint colonial feel with its little bungalows surrounded by hedgerows.

    After breakfast you can visit a Tea factory & Tea Plantation, Visit a Tea Estate and learn all about tea, a most magnificent drink. Learn how it is grown, plucked and refined plus the fine art of tea making and enjoy a cup of tea. Late afternoon town tour around Nuwara Eliya including the picturesque Lake Gregory.

    NUWARA ELIYA / BENTOTA

    After breakfast set off for the south coast of Sri Lanka. Leaving the high country on a scenic drive to the lowlands of the coast. Bentota Beach is a peaceful sandy beach with crystal clear waters ideal for diving. Evening of leisure at the beach.

    After breakfast leave to Galle. Late afternoon, enjoy a boat ride through mangrove forests to a cinnamon plantation at Madu River and visit the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda where turtle eggs are collected, hatched, baby turtles nurtured, numbered and released to the sea. Overnight stay in Bentota.

    Later leave for Colombo, visit a mask factory. Ambalangoda, famous for masks making, used in exorcism ceremonies and low country dancing. En-route visit Toddy tapping areas thereafter, proceed to Colombo. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Colombo.

    Colombo is like many other capital cities in the developing countries. Colombo is fast changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers arise from where old buildings once stood, yet in some parts, the old world charm is retained. A 100 year old clock tower and several British built Colonial buildings are still to be seen in the city. Visit Fort, the former British Administrative Centre and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where one can shop for bargains. Hindu and Buddhist temples, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Colombo Museum, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the people’s republic of China); the new Parliament in Sri Jawardanapura, the Capital of Sri Lanka and the folk art centre are some of the places of interest that one can visit to. Then return back to the hotel enjoy your dinner and overnight stay.
